Developers desiring to develop distributed generation facilities within the City of Anaheim’s service territory and interconnect with Anaheim’s electric system should review and comply with Rule 22 of Anaheim’s Rules, Rates and Regulations and Generation Interconnection Standards and Guidelines

Distributed generation is generally defined as generating resources whose combined gross output is less than 20 megawatts (MW). Most distributed generation includes:
  • Combined heat and power (CHP)
  • Fuel cells
  • Micro turbines
  • Reciprocating engines
  • Small turbines
  • Solar photovoltaics
Standard Form Interconnection Agreement
Anaheim has also developed a Standard Form Interconnection Agreement which sets forth the terms and conditions that allow distributed generation developers to interconnect generation facilities with Anaheim’s electric system.
The Standard Form Interconnection Agreement along with Generation interconnection Standards and Guidelines help simplify interconnection process, establish standards and guidelines, and facilitate interconnection of distributed generation with Anaheim’s electric system safely and efficiently.
